HISTORIC ST. JAMES EVANGELICAL CEMETERY
of ST. JAMES UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

After a very successful Eagle Scout project to improve the grounds of the historic St. James Evangelical Cemetery of St. James United Church of Christ, Troops 525 and 509G are continuing to serve as caretakers of our cemetery on Veit Road off of Main Street in Hamburg. The graves are mostly those of German immigrants buried in the mid to late 1880s.
We are especially grateful to Liam Tillou for the leadership he provided for his project, and to Shelly Weinstock for the continuing research and restoration that are taking place. The members and friends of St. James UCC are proud to have such dedicated and meticulous Scouts.
